Important notes on your Host & Stay:

Hanne is both a host and an artist, with her home being her workspace. While she is a tidy homemaker, frames/ prints/ papers can sometimes occupy the Hearth**(see above) during the day.

Hanne’s cat is kept away from kitchen surfaces, however she does like to sit on the Hearth dining table. Hanne thoroughly cleans the dining table daily and before guests’ usage.

With many of its traditional features intact, Hanne’s cottage is truly authentic, complete with high ceilings, original flooring and heating generated through two fireplaces. Hanne keeps the house cosy,  however on occasion, just like the Irish weather, the cottage’s temperature can fluctuate by a few degrees. With no underfloor heating, guests may find that the bathroom can be a little chilly on colder days. While Hanne provides down duvets, hot water bottles and extra blankets, she recommends guests pack warm socks, woollen sweaters and slippers for the ultimate ‘Hygge Paradise.’

The acre surrounding Hanne’s cottage is managed with minimal interference for the benefit of wildlife.

On rare occasions, Hanne may have a friend or neighbour over for coffee and/ or dinner, and possibly max 1 person may stay overnight. In such instances, sleeping arrangements will have no impact on your stay. Any guest of Hanne’s is guaranteed to be quiet and utterly respectful of your privacy.

Hanne’s unique stay is for those who seek quietude. In this stillness, she asks guests to respect her space and privacy, as she respects theirs.
